Certainly worth repeat visits, the landscape of this bnb is impeccable. Dave and Lloyd really have thought of everything to create an enticing and unique stay. My wife and I have stayed at many Bed & Breakfasts and much prefer them to hotels. We have stayed in Finger Lakes New York area, Victoria, BC, Newfoundland, Cape Breton, Cape Cod, Portland Maine, Carmel California, Riviere du-Loup, Edmundston New Brunswick, Welland Ontario and Portsmouth New Hampshire. The one in Carmel California (The Homestead) was and may still be owned by Clint Eastwood. We also had breakfasts and one dinner at another one Clint owned (The Mission Ranch). Well we have to say that the accommodation and experience afforded to us at Indian Lake B&B was by far the best we have ever experienced. David and Lloyd do not miss a thing…absolutely amazing!!!

This place is extraordinary as are the two gentlemen who own and operate it. What a delight to meet and be fed by them. Their home and gardens and what they have created there is just perfect. I can’t state how warmly we received and how our every need was met and more. I can’t wait to rerun and do it all over again. David is a chef extraordinaire and Lloyd makes sure every detail is looked after. They are a dynamic duo and then there is Betty the pooch. She is the best beast around. Loved it all!!

As busy Ottawans preparing for the arrival of our firstborn, David and Lloyd provided a perfect getaway for my wife and me to recharge and take a moment to appreciate the present in beautiful and tranquil surroundings. The synergy of their warmth and friendliness alongside calm scenery and delicious food is really special. We recommend the 6-course dinner offered on Saturday as well as a hike on Rock Dunder Trail to take in the Rideau in all its beauty. They have many repeat customers and we plan on joining that list in the future.

This is a lovely get-away spot! Dave and Lloyd (and of course Betty) are wonderfully warm hosts who go above and beyond to enhance their guests’ stays. Their picturesque waterfront property is well-equipped with water toys for guests (e.g. canoe, floaties) and has multiple seating alcoves for privacy. Dave’s culinary skills and Lloyd’s friendly service are sure to satisfy any foodie’s dreams!

We had a great visit. David and Lloyd are excellent hosts with great recommendations of local hikes, stores, and restaurants. The food is incredible – we highly recommend the 6-course dinner and the tasting platter! Both were above and beyond, as well as the daily breakfasts. The cottage itself has a large and beautiful garden with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the water, including a fire pit and a screened-in gazebo for buggier evenings. We used the canoe, as well, which was fun. David and Lloyd are always around if you need something but not overbearing in the least – they’re good at letting guests get the most out of the experience themselves. We highly recommend this place!

Magical!! Always feels like the first time no matter how many times we stay. David and Lloyd bend over backwards to provide the utmost in service. We are delighted each time and feel so pampered. Only a few nights can wish you away so that you can relax and replenish. The food is amazing and unlike anything you can imagine. Special touches and delights! The perfect solution in social distancing with special tables set up for private dining with a view. I cannot imagine the Rideau Lakes without them! It was our second time staying at Indian Lake B&B with David and Lloyd and we were not disappointed! The grounds and the lake are as lovely as ever — it’s really something special to have breakfast every day sitting amongst loons and hummingbirds. Speaking of breakfast, David is in top form with his scrumptious meals every morning, and we were delighted with the new (optional) evening dining options as well. We really enjoyed taking the canoe out on the lakes for an outing. The water was really warm this time around, though a bit weedy for swimming. There are also lots of great places for day trips not too far away: Rock Dunder for hiking and great views, Jones Falls for a nice swim, Westport for dining/drinks, and even Perth is not too far down the road. The main room in the house is spacious and well-appointed, with a great view of the gardens and the lake. It was really convenient to have an en-suite washroom handy. We’re looking forward to coming back next year!

This place is truly a gem! Cannot wait to go back. David & Lloyd were the perfect hosts, very accommodating and kind. They welcomed any conversation on their breathtaking flower and herb gardens, as well as the extraordinary meals they prepare for any foodie! They were very knowledgeable about the area, with tips on where to visit, buy local, hike and historical background of the Rideau Lakes. The rooms and grounds were impeccably clean and well looked after. Campfires by the lake, sunsets and early morning sunrises on the docks were a must. From the moment you arrive at Indian Lake B&B to the moment you say farewell to David, Lloyd and their sweet fur baby Betty, you are experiencing world class accommodations with a home-sweet-home warmth and comfort. My wife and I were lucky enough to find a very rare last minute booking here this past weekend and boy are we ever glad we stumbled upon this wonderful gem! Without a doubt, Indian Lake B&B provides 5-star Bed and 5-star Breakfast! The mattress and sheets are top quality and the pillows are a little piece of heaven. The breakfasts were more delicious each passing day. This is no simple continental breakfast, this is once again, world class dining. Being mine and my wife’s first getaway since our kids were born three years and 18 months ago and we wanted to treat our selves to something special. We decided to treat ourselves to the welcome board and the Chef’s 6 course dinner on the Saturday evening. This culinary delight brought the overall experience of our romantic getaway far, FAR past our expectations. Chef David’s cuisine is not to be skipped over. The gardens are a vision to behold. You can wander amongst the rock paths and lake fed waterfalls that were hand built by Lloyd and David. Get lost in the hundreds of flowers and plants, both native and exotic. Take an afternoon siesta on the loungers on the dock or curl up with you love on the 2-person hammock under the tree canopies. There is no shortage of pleasure to be had at Indian Lake B&B. Take the canoe or kayaks out on the lake, sit by the fire or soak in the hot tub. It is all yours to be enjoyed during your visit. I wish I could give six stars to Indian Lake B&B, instead of five. The Bunkie Complex, where we stayed, has fantastic views of the lake and beautiful flower gardens with a waterfall. The shoreline of the property curves out into the lake, affording sunrise and sunset views. The surrounding area is teeming with wildlife. The loons and deer seem unafraid of humans. David and Lloyd are wonderful hosts and the food is AMAZING! David is a talented and creative professional chef with a flair for presentation. Overall this place is an oasis of calm, the perfect getaway from the city.

Our 2nd Visit to Indian Lake BnB was absolutely perfect again! How do you describe a magical place where the stress of life simply disappear as you enter the door! David, Lloyd and Betty are an amazing team that think or every detail to surprise you on your first or return visit with new things they have added to up the level of comfort and relaxation. They also have a wealth of knowledge on things to do in the area such as – small towns to visit like Newboro or Westport, endless lakes to canoe/kayak on, hike/bike on trails nearby or offer an arts and craft suggestion on the occasional rainy period. The food is phenomenal. The creativity and the flavours that you experience in every bite is worth it. Make sure to get the optional charcuterie board and dinner, as you will not regret it!!! Two words: world class. Came here for the third time and Dave and Lloyd exceeded expectations yet again. They are incredibly kind and thoughtful people and make you feel like you are the only guest they have ever had. In addition to the superb hospitality, the property is even more picturesque than last year with an expansion of the garden, new hammock, new deck, and improvements made to the Bunkie. They’re constantly improving the premises even though I didn’t think it was possible. The food is world class – we have been to several Michelin start restaurants and Dave’s cooking is better! I could go on for hours about this beautiful couple and property. Suffice it to say BOOK THEM and I promise you will not regret it! We left our stay feeling rejuvenated and plan to book again soon.

Simply put.. this is THE best place to escape! Incredible hospitality! Amazing views. Fall asleep to the tranquil sounds of nature and wake to the many bird songs. Lloyd’s Garden is out of this world.. Filled with colour and life. The food was outstanding! David is truly talented. We were given great recommendations and tips for day adventures near by and ugly Betty (their dog) was our pawfect vacation friend. Definitely book a stay with David & Lloyd! Their BnB is truly breathtaking! We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Indian Lake B&B over the weekend. The bedroom/bathroom/sitting room were all clean and spacious, the bed was super comfortable, and the mini fridge was great for the snacks we brought along with us 🙂 And despite the daytime summer heat, the sleeping temperature was perfect at night! The outdoor space was absolutely beautiful and extremely well-maintained, with lots of thoughtful touches throughout. There were many different outdoor seating areas, so there was always a spot with the appropriate amount of sun vs. shade. We took the canoe out two of the morning to explore the lake which was wonderful for spotting wildlife. Last but not least, THE FOOD. The breakfasts were incredible – great quality, soooo delicious and beautifully presented. The hosts themselves were also so lovely and attentive. We’re hoping to be able to return soon rather than later, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a little summer-time oasis!

Can we give it 7 out of 5 stars?? Come for the cottage and stay for the food! We were blown away by the Indian Lake B&B. We expected a nice cottage with a pretty good breakfast; but the quality of our 3 night stay was WELL BEYOND the best Sheraton/Hilton/Fairview experience. David and Lloyd are big on all the small details, were always looking out to improve our stay, and the food is prepared by a seasoned chef educator – we were struggling to remember a better meal ever! The price we paid was basically a steal for wedding ready grounds, in the heart of the Rideau. There really is no where else to go. MAKE SURE you order the Charcuterie Board, the Saturday evening meal, and don’t even think about skipping a breakfast. Great hosts, great place, great food.

Our adventure with David and Lloyd at Indian Lake bnb will be one we will remember for a lifetime. If you can take part in the Saturday night 4 course meal, you will not regret it or the boat tour. Wonderful experience, spending hours on the lake canoeing or looking at all the wildlife. A real treat for someone like me who loves herons…we saw many each day. Hot tub was a nice a treat after yoga on the dock or one of our hikes. The food WAS THE BEST FOOD that we have ever eaten…soo sooo good!! Our second stay here and as amazing as the first. Our grandparents and two friends came this time and we all had an absolutely fantastic time. Hospitality was amazing as always, service impeccable, food was phenomenal as always, the dinner on one of the evenings was a feast and fantastic! We also did the hike this time and checked out the shops around the area which was fun. Everyone absolutely loved it and our friends and grandparents are already asking when we will return. If you want to spend a short vacation at a cottage country with the greatest hosts and even better food, definitely try staying here. We opted for the 4 course dinner for one of our nights – I don’t think I can remember having a better dinner at any actual restaurant I’ve ever been at. And knowing you don’t need to go anywhere after dinner – you’re already home! – is the icing on the cake! The house itself is in a great location, they have a canoe you can take out and the surrounding lake area is gorgeous. The house is nice and modern, the backyard has a fire pit, plenty of seating and lounging options (including a pagoda that’s netted to keep out bugs). Honestly, cannot think of much to improve on this place! David and Lloyd are also a wealth of knowledge on things to do in the area. We showed up having not prepared or looked up anything at all, and they helped us find all the best spots nearby!

My wife and I were Dave’s and Lloyd’s guests for the second time this year. I believe this says everything. Again above and beyond any other experience we’ve had so far with a B&B. Chef David prepared three breakfasts and two dinners for us. Delicious. Lloyd took us on a boat tour tp Chaffey’ and Davis Lock’s. Beautiful. During the tour Lloyd told us the story of the Rideau Canal and other interesting local information. We have been very happy with both visit and we will be back for sure in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Second to none. btw, if you go there, don’t miss Rock Dunder trail. This was our second stay at Indian Lake, and we’d had such an amazing time with David and Lloyd on our first visit that we went back with exceptionally high expectations. Our stay was absolutely perfect. Every small detail was well thought out and super tasteful. The property was right on the lake with a large dock for relaxation. The meals served up by David we’re worth the stay alone not to mention the exceptional hospitality from both David and Lloyd! Their recommendations and insights into the community were hard to pass up ranging from world class maple butter to the most interesting shoe store we’ve ever been to. The indoor hot tub was something we definitely overused. It’s hard to overstate how 5/5 our stay was. We loved it and we will be going back again. It’s perfect for an Ontario cottage getaway!
We spent the Labour day long weekend at David and Lloyd’s beautiful B&B and had a wonderful time! Between the delicious breakfasts, the gorgeous grounds, and the opportunity to explore the beautiful area around the Rideau Lakes, it could not have been better. Each morning we enjoyed an exquisite chef’s breakfast in the gardens or out on the dock. Lloyd and David gave us great advice on local areas to check our and set us up for a canoeing adventure. We felt like royalty throughout our 3-night getaway. The bunkie has a gorgeous view overlooking colourful winding gardens and the lake front – it was perfect for the two of us. Breakfast was 5+ star – we were delighted by fresh ingredients, amazing flavours, and professional attention to detail. Indian Lake B&B has been, hands down, the greatest B&B experience my fiancé and I have ever had. Lloyd and Dave were born hosts — there is nothing they haven’t thought of! My fiancé proposed this week during our stay, and Dave and Lloyd were so gracious. They suggested the best spot for the proposal and coordinated everything from set up to take down. Breakfasts are an event at this place! Lloyd makes you feel like royalty, setting up a cozy breakfast spot for two and serving up homemade jams with warm croissants, yogurt and fresh fruit, and the warm breakfast, all prepared by Dave, a retired chef. The warm breakfast was different each day — delicious bread pudding, savory quiche, the best avocado toast… the list goes on. Their house is beautifully decorated and landscaped, sitting on a quiet, serene lake. Lots of wildlife to see around the property and on the lake. A soak in the hot tub was a perfect way to top off a day of relaxing on the dock, floating on the water or paddling in their canoe/kayaks available for use. Ask them about local hiking, beaches or other places to eat, and they’re very knowledgeable about the area! The week was a perfect balance between privacy and socializing (safely and distanced). The property has many places to relax in the sun or shade, and the hosts light a camp fire every night (weather permitting) which was a great opportunity to meet the other guests. Even after reading all of the positive reviews, we can honestly say that we were blown away by our stay. We will certainly be coming back to Indian Lake again and again! -Rosalia & Vignesh

We were so lucky to be able to snag the last four available days in August to stay at this gorgeous oasis! Everything about David and Lloyd’s place is incredible. We stayed in the bunkie overlooking the water and woke up to hummingbirds at the bird feeder every morning. This cottage has everything you could possibly need: canoes, kayaks, boat tours, private dinners, incredible breakfasts, a hot tub, and multiple places to hang out and relax or socialize. The entire experience wouldn’t be the same without David and Lloyd, who were the absolute best hosts and took such great care of us. Can’t wait to come back soon!

My wife and I stayed at David and Lloyd’s bed and breakfast for three nights. It was such an incredible experience. They looked after every little detail, The facilities are immaculate, they have the most incredibly beautiful gardens, the view of the water is priceless. There is plenty to do for everyone, from floating on the lake on floaties, canoeing, kayaking, or a guided boat tour of the local lakes and locks. The food, was to die for!!! David cooks the most incredible breakfasts, and it was diffrent each morning. We had the dinner one night, and it was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. I am looking forward to coming back and spending some time in the kitchen with David once Covid passes. I would have no problem, and have already been telling anyone who has asked how our stay was that if they are looking for a great place to enjoy and relax, Indian Lake Bed and Breakfast would be on the top of my list of places to stay.

This was my second stay with Lloyd and David (and Betty) and it proved even better than the first. Is that event possible??? Yes, it is. We were in need of total R & R and calm after a very busy few months. Our stay at Indian Lake B&B gave us plenty of time to relax in the water, take in the spectacular grounds, kayak and retreat to our private bunkie deck for a snack while watching the hummingbirds dance around. Our bunkie was immaculate. With COVID, this is of significant importance and Lloyd and David have taken every precaution to make your stay safe. I knew this would be the case due to our past experience at Indian Lake B&B, but rest assured that they take your safety (and theirs) very seriously. David’s gourmet breakfasts fuel you for the entire day with a selection that you would find in a very high end hotel. Care is taken with every detail to make your stay the best and most relaxing it can be. We were also lucky to have David prepare a three course dinner that was out of this world. Lloyd and David are consummate hosts. Your experience at Indian Lake B & B will be one that you will remember for a long time after you’ve come home. Thank you both so much!
Right from the first moment we were made to feel at home here. It was everything promised and more. Five star dining in a forest setting, with our own private table kept it feeling very special while keeping social distancing.
The hosts are amazing and the property was spectacular on the water. Lots of amenities and things to do near by. Hosts had good ideas of what you could do. If available, definitely do the gourmet dinner they offer, was unbelievably delicious.

My husband and I stayed at Indian Lake B & B for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We could not have asked for a better more romantic vacation. From the start Lloyd gave us a tour and we felt safe and comfortable with all their Covid-19 precautions and did not feel that they changed our experience in any way. Lloyd and David went above and beyond to make our Anniversary so special. We stayed in the Bunkie, which was very private and the outdoor shower is amazing. We were served breakfast and dinner on our own private deck and the meals were exquisite!! and we would highly recommend. We also went on one of the boat excursions. David was very knowledgeable of the area. I could go on forever about how special everything was, the soft sheets, comfortable bed, beautiful grounds, the sunsets and sunrise are unbelievable, and so much more, we will definitely be back. We can’t say enough about our experience with These super hosts. From the moment we arrived they made us feel welcome and comfortable.The grounds are spectacular and the views are non stop. Lloyd is very friendly and is super helpful with any of your needs, David is a wonderful host and is very knowledgeable about the area. The morning breakfast is amazing with homemade croissants and jam ,fresh fruit, and made to order chefs quiche or eggs Benedict or whatever he Dreams up will be of the best you have ever had . Indian Lake B&B surpassed all our expectations. My partner and I were welcomed by David & Lloyd the minute we arrived and they made sure we had the most relaxing weekend. The breakfasts and dinners were 5 star quality, some of the best meals we’ve ever had. We stayed in the bunkie which was perfect for any couple, very clean, comfy and cozy with your own private seating area, washroom and outdoor shower! They also had plenty of floaties, a kayak and canoe to enjoy going out of the water – we enjoyed an afternoon kayaking the lake and otherwise enjoyed the warm water near the dock. David & Lloyd also make sure your space is respected and that you have exclusive seating areas due to the current pandemic, which went a long way towards ensuring we felt safe & comfortable during our entire stay. We’d recommend Indian Lake B&B to anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing getaway and meet the most friendly & welcoming hosts. We’re already looking at booking our next visit!
One word: PARADISE. My husband and I stayed at Indian Lake BnB for our honeymoon and already planning on making it an annual trip for our anniversarry. The bunkie was the perfect home away from home. The bed is inviting where many naps occured, falling asleep to the loons at night and nothing beats waking up to those lakeviews. Best part might be that first cup of coffee in the morning brought by Llyod, curled up in the blanket provided in your own patio watching the husband fish at the dock. The food was superb and first class, and with their hospitality and presentation you would think you’re dining at a gourmet restaurant. Lloyd and David are one of the most welcoming, warm and genuine people we’ve ever met. They are attentive and anticipate all of your needs, full of knowledge of what to see and do in the area, and seriously they go above and beyond to make sure that you have the most perfect stay. But don’t take my word for it. Book your stay with them and experience it for yourself. Go go go!

This was our second getaway to Indian Lake BnB and we brought family to share in all the comforts and hospitality of this amazing spot-even in the midst of Covid. The attention to detail, from fresh flowers and bathrobes in your room, to the delicious meals with consideration to dietary restrictions. Absolutely beautiful and exceptional hosts!! This truly is a gem. Lloyd and David make every detail of the experience special. From the gardens and lovely lakeside lounge areas to the cozy bath robes, fresh cut flowers, large screened in gazebo for when needed although the mosquito population was quite low, floaties to swim off of, sunsets, muskoka chairs by the campfire, the list goes on. And the food!!!! One of the best dining experiences we have had and to enjoy this at a cottage overlooking their beautiful property and water was incredible. The bunkie is set up so well with direct views of the water, lovely outdoor sitting areas, wooded open air shower, and comfy bed and linens. One of the best cottage experiences we’ve had so far! Indian Lake B&B is a place to relax and unwind. The amenities they have to offer are great, the view is amazing and the swims are blissful. The place is very stylish, clean and welcoming. Their hospitality is phenomenal, they are always available and awesome to have conversations with. The best part about the stay was the food Chef David has to offer, absolutely recommend the dinners they offer!
If you are looking to be up close & personal with Canadian nature then you will be delighted to experience Indian Lake B&B. Even before we arrived at David and Lloyd’s pristine property we were greeted by multiple deer at the road side – this was a great start to our wonderful wildlife journey. Over the course of the next few days we were treated to the sights of an Osprey up high, perched on a tree on a small, solitary island on one of the numerous lakes in the area; Loons calling in the night, coyotes howling in the distance, and an exotic humming bird in the garden. The fine dining that David prepares would not be out of place in a 5 star restaurant in New York or Hong Kong. It is exquisite. The beautiful garden and outstanding hospitality further enhanced the genuinely unique getaway. If you want to get out on the water (which is nice and warm in the summer btw) then you have access to a kayak, canoe and Speedboat (The latter via David and Lloyd’s ‘Locks Tour’ – highly recommended). These are all situated on the private jetty at the bottom of the garden. The quick access to the water means that you can get out into the lake swiftly to watch the sun rise or, as in our case, to gaze into the lunar path and the stars. One of the most laid back vacation we’ve had!

This B&B exceeded our expectations in every sense. Lloyd and Dave have impeccable attention to detail and understand how to delight their guests. Whether it was the world class 3 course breakfasts and dinners served on our patio, Lloyd and Dave’s local recommendations and warm, fun, outgoing demeanour, the swings overlooking the sunset, the outdoor private shower, the lake view from our bunkie or the picturesque, perfectly manicured property, we were blown away by the experience. The food, ambience, service and accommodations provided a perfect, relaxing 5 star getaway. We strongly recommend doing the dinner on your first and last night. Dave’s cooking was a highlight. We have no doubt we will be back!

This is the best host we’ve ever had! If you want a romantic getaway this is the place to go! The cottage is beautiful with so many things to do: kayaking, canoeing, resting on the tubes, and more. We chose the charming “bunkie” because of the present day COVID issues at the Indian Lake Airbnb. The bunkie is located right on the waters edge, with two private decks, an outdoor shower that was heavenly, and a private bathroom. Imagine being served breakfast right on your own deck, listening to the loons singing on the lake. The morning breakfasts were out of this world. Fresh flowers arrive daily beside your private table setting overlooking the lake. When breakfast arrives each morning, our charming host describes the presentation of food presented to us. The food is to die for……we also chose to have a 3 course dinner for our first evening. OMG. It was like dining in a 5 star restaurant. This is by far the best Airbnb that we have ever stayed at. Chef David and super host Lloyd are very genuine and kind. They take care of your every need from the moment you arrive. Never wanting to leave is probably the best compliment we can give these extraordinary hosts.

That’s a 6th star because 5 just aren’t enough for this beautiful place and beautiful couple. Lloyd and David are gracious hosts and from the moment we arrived it was clear they put a great deal of thought into the comfort of their guests. I had been nervous to travel because of the coronavirus but Lloyd put our minds at ease as he reviewed their meticulous COVID precautions with us including assigned dining and seating areas for each set of guests to permit social distancing, hand sanitizer stations throughout the property and even sanitizing the watercraft as each guest’s use! When we booked our couple’s getaway, David and Lloyd promised the place was very romantic and it certainly was! We stayed in the Bunkie which was a private retreat within a retreat. The Bunkie’s rear deck offered a secluded little hideaway; complete with an outdoor loveseat that was perfect for cuddling up. On the Bunkie’s front deck we enjoyed Chef David’s scrumptious meals including the add-on three course dinner which we savoured while taking in a spectacular pastel-coloured sunset. Inside the Bunkie, the cozy bed offered a great night’s sleep after our day on the water on a fun and informative motorboat excursion through the local locks. We highly recommend both the dinner and excursion add-ons. We look forward to going back to the Indian Lake B&B soon! What an amazing weekend we had, this is a destination that you WILL want to experience!! We can’t wait to go back for our next little escape to paradise. Lloyd & David are wonderful people, their property is stunning and the level of hostility that they provide, far surpasses any 5 star accommodation out there. The food…. I can’t even put words to how amazing the food is…. chef David’s culinary creations are out of this world! Lloyd provides all the most amazing little touches and makes you feel like a member of the family and not just simply a guest, they both have a passion for entertaining and it truly shows – they are definitely a powerhouse dynamic duo. Make sure you spend the extra money and experience one of David’s 3 course dinner extravaganzas, you won’t be disappointed. This is by far the best “airbnb” and” bed and breakfast” experience we had. David and Lloyd were above and beyond with everything they offered at their beautiful lakeside “paradise”. We stayed 3 nights at the bunkie which had full glass windows facing the lake and so every morning we woke up with a spectacular lake view. Not only we had a unique experience staying in a bunkie , it also provided privacy as it was away from the main house, although David and Lloyd always respected our privacy unless we had questions for them. They were super hospitable, friendly and kind. The whole place was super clean and all the little touches showed how much love they put it in the place. Everything was as shown in their website. It had so much characters. And, yes – the food — the breakfasts, the gourmet dinners (pre-book) prepared by Chef David — my mouth is still watering. I would give David and Lloyd’s place 15 (because 10/10 doesn’t do justice). Highly highly recommend.

What an amazing experience… Even I read all the previous reviews, I find that the reality is hard to be described in words. Everything was perfect, the room, the property, the hosts, and yes, the breakfasts and dinners. Attention to details, inside and outside. A lot of spots to relax, very clean. Dave and Loyd do everything with passion,no doubt. They made us feel like King and Queen for two days. Betty was the cherry on the cake. I won’t mention all the amenities as they are already available… But I must mention the magnificent meals prepared by chef Dave. One night we had sea food fest and one night Indian fest. I am writing fest, not dinner, as this is the true. If you go there don’t make the mistake, not to enjoy chef Dave’s dinner. And yes Loyd is very attentive. His service was impeccable.

We can’t give a high enough rating! My boyfriend & I spent the weekend in the bunkie. We were greeted by David & Lloyd upon arrival & showed around the property & WOW… This place is stunning!! Million dollar view, a great place to unwind or stay active! There was nothing better than waking up to the view of the lake! David & Lloyd go above & beyond, making sure you are taken care of. Indian Lake BnB is a truly spectacular place to self-isolate or book a get-away with your family bubble. I had my own self-contained bunkie with washroom and outdoor shower, plus all of the wonderful patio and lounge amenities, kayak and canoe use and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The hosts are able to separate guests into their own isolation areas to provide privacy and individual dining experiences and the food is truly exquisite. This was my second time staying and the bunkie provided the perfect place for me to study and enjoy my little piece of wilderness. A wonderful escape. Thank you!

A little slice of heaven out of this world. We loved our one night stay, and are re-booking for two more stays now. This will be our place that we will come back to again and again. We finally found it 🙂 The hospitality by David and Lloyd is beyond anything you will ever experience in any airbnb ever! The rooms, were so cute, with lots of personal touches, bathrobes,handwritten notes to great us. The location is fantastic away from everything and very quiet, you can have open fires in the evening with lattes, you can canoe to your heart’s content, go on excursions of the lake ( each excursion has own price) and relax in the hot tub or read a book on one of the swings outside. This is a retreat for couples, for a girls weekend, or with your parents or grandparents on a special holiday. The food will blow you away, David is an exceptional chef, from home made cinnamon buns, pies, croissant, to the most decadent dinners with candles beautifully set up for you its truly a 5* +++ experience. You also learn to cook if you would like ( we now know how to make hollandaise sauce). We fell in love with Indian Lake B and B, we loved David and Lloyd hospitality and everything they did for us to make it such a wonderful stay. Thank you!

Lloyd and David have created a wonderful lakeside retreat that is a magical gateway to Rideau lakes. They greeted us warmly on our arrival and made us feel welcome in their home. My Mom was swept off her feet with the care and hospitality they generously offered during our stay. Lloyd and David were keen to share the comforts of their spacious home and the amenities exceeded our expectations. Natural beauty abounds. We enjoyed the dockside sunrises and shoreline sunsets. The canoe and kayak were a treat for up close glimpses of the birds and wildlife on the lake and long peaceful paddles. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious and the bed super comfy. Mornings were a relaxing affair with Chef David preparing our gourmet breakfasts. He is a passionate chef who takes time and care to personalize the meals he prepares. Definitely the best eggs Benedict ever. We left after our 5 day stay feeling refreshed and planning a return trip soon.

Speechless! Amazed! In heaven! Overwhelmed! Hum, there aren’t any words how to express our sincere thanks for having had the chance to stay some days with Lloyd and David at there wonderful and peaceful place. This is the place to be when you travel in Ontario. The house is located directly at the Indian Lake with amazing views, very peaceful and just the place where you want to be to relax. Lloyd and David offering Canoe and have been so kind to take us out on a great boat trip on the lake. The house and guests rooms are great, spacious and perfectly decorated. Very clean and bathrobes were provided as well! When it comes to food…don’t go anywhere else, it is not worth it, as David and Lloyd are offering the greatest dinner ever! Dinner and breakfast is prepared with so much passion, love and joy and made of only fresh and organic ingredients, it is just so tasty and yam yam. Have been to various 5* restaurants around the globe, but none of them can compete with what David cooked for us! Not to forget, that they also served us the greatest breakfast on the deck one morning, after we returned from a sunrise canoe tour! Just incredible! David and Lloyd are the best! My husband and I were looking for a relaxing get-away for the weekend. What we got was a truly unforgettable experience. In reading the other reviews, it seemed too good to be true, yet… Indian Lake B&B is better than advertised. The rooms are beautifully appointed with extremely comfortable and soft bed and linens. You will sleep like a baby. There are several areas to sit or lounge comfortably. Soak up the sun, lounge in the shade, have a drink in the hot tub. Take David and Lloyd up on their offer of an afternoon cruise of the locks… the property is perfect for whatever you fancy. Lloyd has created an oasis on the property, with flowers in full-bloom and the sound of gently streaming water around you. Wake up at dawn to see the sunrise and listen to the loons. Watch the sun set and sit around the fire with the other guests. If that wasn’t enough, there is DINNER. You must have Chef David prepare dinner for you. Originally, we planned one night only, but quick added the second dinner. Who could resist a perfectly-executed Beef Wellington? I could go on, and on. In the end, the property is simply beautiful, but it is incredible hospitality that Lloyd, David (and their dog, Betty) offer their guests that will have you return, again and again. Our stay at Indian Lake B&B exceeded our expectations. David & Lloyd greeted us when we arrived in the evening and took us around the property for a tour. Even at night, the grounds were beautiful. After a restful nights sleep we woke up to a complimentary breakfast which was absolutely fantastic. I’m not typically a breakfast person but I couldn’t get enough! We enjoyed fires in the evening, canoe rides in the lake, and use of the outdoor shower. The stars at night were plentiful and we could actually see the milky way. The sunset from the waterfront was gorgeous as well with reds and pinks across the sky. We opted in for a dinner made by chef David on our last night and wished we had booked our dinner earlier in our stay so that we could have had the opportunity to have another dinner made by David. Highly recommended! We really can’t say enough good things about Indian Lake B&B and David, Lloyd and their sweet pup Betty. We will definitely be back again.

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful B&B experience. David, Lloyd and Betty (fur baby) are fantastic hosts. From the moment we arrived we felt like family. Their home is clean and beautifully decorated. Chef David is so warm and outgoing! He is incredibly passionate about life and of course food. We really enjoyed his company and cooking. We were absolutely spoiled with fresh home-made dishes made with local ingredients. We strongly recommend ordering a dinner during your stay. Lloyd is so sweet and funny. He is incredibly considerate and talented. His gardens are impeccable and his attention to detail is really appreciated. If you get a chance take Lloyd up on a boat tour of the surrounding waters. Dear David and Lloyd your home is amazing and your hospitality is second to none. Words cannot describe how breathtaking the scenery, the experience and the food was! OMG! The food! If you have the option do not skip out on Davids dinner! He made us the best ribs we have ever had! Lloyd gives the most wonderful tour of the Rideau Canal on his boat. He is very intelligent on the area and the history of the area. The property is simply stunning! Waking up early to go fishing, right in front of the home on there dock or on the zodiac, was simply great! They provided fishing gear and bait. We were were at Indian Lake BnB for a week…but how do you count time in a timeless place. The last day was as perfect as the first. From the warm personal welcome from David and Lloyd to the last sad kisses from beautiful Ugly Betty (she’s a rescue dog, not Lloyd’s sister). A place of wonder with an absolutely beautiful garden and lakefront..lots of toys, floaties, boats and fishing…right off the dock. The food…what can we say about the food? Some of the best, if not the best, meals we’ve ever enjoyed. Master chef David painstakingly creates a dinner which is the very definition of sumptuous. And the breakfasts were fabulous. Who needs lunch after one of these?…oh my…eggs benedict, omelettes, quiche, and wonder of wonder, bread pudding; the likes of which of last I enjoyed at my grandmother’s hands. Even coffee from Salt Spring Island. The day always concluded with a fire pit and bug repelling torches. And other guests quickly became friends encouraged by the camaraderie of the occasion. After all this some of the best sleep we’ve ever enjoyed. We’re reluctant to praise this gem David and Lloyd have worked so hard to present to those fortunate to find it. Finding a b and b is very much a pig in a poke but in this case, Indian Lake is a certainty when it comes to perfection. And we’re afraid that when the word does get out, the world will beat a path to the door at the end of Indian Lake Road and we’ll have to take number to get in. But till then we’ll be sure to return to this wonder filled place created by this wonderful couple, David and Lloyd.

Hi boys- Can’t thank you enough for our retreat at Indian Lake. We had the most wonderful time – your hospitality and kindness are second to none. We wish we could give you more than 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ on the review !! How to describe our experience?? Relaxing, engaging, delightful, cozy, comforting and high end. The luxuries of a classy 5 star hotel amidst the shady trees, waterfalls, flowers and calm lake waters. The choice to do as much or as little as one desires, all while feeling at home with 2 wonderful new friends Thank you for “extra” touches, the details that you seamlessly include that make your standards impeccable !! Take advantage of all the amenities – canoeing and fishing on the lake, exploring the waterways by kayak, or read a book and catnap in any one of the comfy spots on the grounds, the swing, the hammock, lounge chairs or Muskoka chairs – you pick !! Take advantage of David’s dinner add on option – you will not be disappointed – incredible presentation and delicious menu !!! And breakfast ??? Who doesn’t love to wake up to the smell of fresh coffee and cinnamon rolls or croissants rolling out of a bed made with crisp linens and fluffy pillows with fresh flowers on your night stand ? Do not leave Indian Lakes without having at least one outdoor shower – such an invigorating feeling after being out on one of the boats or even doing a yoga practice on the dock ! Make sure you arrange to have dinner here — you’ll be treated like a king or queen! The hosts source much of the food from local farms and it’s cooked to perfection. Every dish is beautiful presented and after dinner you can enjoy your latte by the fire! This was the best B&B experience I have ever had! David and Lloyd are warm, welcoming hosts who ensure everything is perfect! The spacious house is super comfortable and clean. Their beautiful home is surrounded by breathtaking nature. There were hummingbirds feeding outside the picture window of my room. When I went out on the lake in their canoe I was able to see to loons, herons, swans, goslings, deer and turtles. I can’t wait to stay again!
